The Great Primary Bake Off

22/11/2018

Who doesn’t love The Great British Bake off? It’s always a talking point in our office – an office who are fascinated with the outstanding creations and calamities of each week’s bake-off and a desire to eat cake!

Cue the Great Primary bake-off. Each team member was assigned a contestant to champion throughout the series and tasked to bake for the team as their contestant left the series one by one. Monday became bake day and I don’t think we’ve ever looked forward to Mondays so much – never was there a more enthusiastic bunch of judges!

First up was Fred who set the bar high with her fabulous Wagon Wheel creations -Team Primary were all fired up for competition!

We’ve had chocolate and chai traybake, Earl Grey loaf, a fabulous Raspberry and Lemon Sponge in the much-feared Vegan week and Managing Director; Dan Stevens even pulled a Raspberry and Crème Patisserie Pastry out of the bag! Who knew we had such a talented bunch of bakers!

But there could only be one winner, judged by none other than ‘Impartial Marshall’, as she was fondly known.

CONGRATULATIONS TO LAURA BROWN for her Vegan Raspberry and Lemon Sponge. Definitely a winner on presentation, taste and effort.

The scores were very close and we’re all rather gutted that not only does Paul Hollywood disappear from our screens for a while, but the weekly cake-fest that made Mondays such a delight is now no more.

Time for a new team task to bring everyone together!
